Political Correctness: The Scourge of Our Times

An article on Political Correctness and its origins, by Agustin Blazquez.

I wasn’t surprised to find that it has it’s birth in communism, but was a little surprised that it got its start so early in the 20th century.

Anyway, here’s some excerpts:

And they believed that the only way for communism to advance was to help (or force, if necessary) Western Civilization to destroy itself. How to do that? Undermine its foundations by chipping away at the rights of those annoying individuals.

One way to do that? Change their speech and thought patterns by spreading the idea that vocalizing your beliefs is disrespectful to others and must be avoided to make up for past inequities and injustices.

Inspired by the brand new communist technique, Mao, in the 1930s, wrote an article on the “correct” handling of contradictions among the people. “Sensitive training” – sound familiar? – and speech codes were born.

But Political Correctness remains just what it was intended to be: a sophisticated and dangerous form of censorship and oppression, imposed upon the citizenry with the ultimate goal of manipulating, brainwashing and destroying our society.

It is changing the American society from within, and the citizens of this nation are increasingly censoring themselves and losing their freedom of speech out of fear of Political Correctness repression.

It is the nature of Western Civilization to be civilized – respectful of others and concerned with correcting injustices. We don’t need Political Correctness to make us think we are not civilized on our own and must have our thoughts and words restricted.

It’s one thing is to be educated, considerate, polite and have good manners, and another to be forced to self-censor and say things that are totally incorrect in order to comply with the arbitrary dictum of a deceiving and fanatical far-left agenda.

Let’s preserve our freedom and say NO to the scourge of Political Correctness.

Indeed we need to be politically incorrect as we can. One of the main purposes is smother truth, as well. As we well know, truth often offends. Then let it, if that’s the way it has to be. Jesus told us to let our light (truth) shine, not hide it.

So, in the end, PC was and is a well planned agenda by the enemies of freedom.

Covering the Conflict in the North of Israel.

A review by HonestReporting.com of some of the worst examples of media bias from the recent conflict.

This is a good roundup of the sheer bias and lazy reporting of the MSM in the conflict. It includes a blatantly stage-managed video report by CNN.

Items in italics are excerpts.

“The media’s coverage of Israel’s conflict with the Iranian-backed Hezbollah terrorist group was filled with examples of bias, inaccuracy, and manipulation. While firing thousands of rockets into Israeli cities, Hezbollah was able to frequently manipulate the media into portraying the conflict as a “disproportionate” Israeli attack against Lebanese civilians. In news stories, photographs, and political cartoons, we have seen some of the worst reporting in years. While the cease-fire is very tenuous right now, we thought it would be useful to review some of the worst cases of media bias so that readers will know what to look for should the fighting resume.”

Disproportionate Reporting:

“Throughout the conflict, there were numerous reports of the damage in Lebanon. While it is true that the conflict extracted a great toll on Lebanese infrastructure, there was also considerable damage to Northern Israel. Consider these rarely reported statistics (from the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs):

* 43 Israeli civilians were killed by Hezbollah rocket fire

* 116 Israeli soldiers and officers were killed

* 3,970 rockets were fired at Israel, 901 of them hit urban areas

* 4,262 civilians were treated in hospitals for injuries

* 6,000 Israeli private homes were damaged

* 300,000 Israelis were forced to flee

* Over 1,000,000 Israelis were forced to spend a month in bomb shelters

* One third of the population of Israel was directly exposed to the missile threat

* Over $1,400,000,000 is estimated to be the direct economic loss to the Israeli economy.”

Photo manipulation.

“When the blog Little Green Footballs first reported that a Reuters photograph had clear signs of manipulation (see the duplication of smoke patters and cloning of destroyed buildings), it was a call to the media to take a closer look at all photographs coming out of Lebanon. Since then, numerous photographs have been discovered to have been purposely manipulated or deliberately staged.”

The article also points out other matters of interest.

If we can only get people to get a clue about this, that we are in a war already – if our western countries do not put us all on a war footing and stop being politically correct concerning Islam, we WILL lose. PC has turned out to be a very useful tool in the hands of our enemies – it makes controlling the ‘useful idiots’ sooo easy.

Thank God that in the end, He is the one in control, and that all that will happen will only happen as He allows.

World opinion is worthless

by Dennis Prager

Some excerpts:

The history of “world opinion” regarding the greatest mass murders and cruelties on the planet is one of relentless apathy.
Ask the 1.5 million Armenians massacred by the Ottoman Turks;

or the 6 million Ukrainians slaughtered by Stalin;

or the tens of millions of other Soviet citizens killed by Stalin’s Soviet Union;

or the 6 million Jews murdered by the Nazis and their helpers throughout Europe;

or the 60 million Chinese butchered by Mao;

or the 2 million Cambodians murdered by Pol Pot;

or the millions killed and enslaved in Sudan;

or the Tutsis murdered in Rwanda’s genocide;

or the millions starved to death and enslaved in North Korea;

or the million Tibetans killed by the Chinese;

or the million-plus Afghans put to death by Brezhnev’s Soviet Union.

Ask any of these poor souls, or the hundreds of millions of others slaughtered, tortured, raped and enslaved in the last 100 years, if “world opinion” did anything for them.

The moment one recognises “world opinion” for what it is — a statement of moral cowardice, one is no longer enthralled by the term. That “world opinion” at this moment allegedly loathes America and Israel is a badge of honour to be worn proudly by those countries. It is when “world opinion” and its news media start liking you that you should wonder if you’ve lost your way.
