WalidShoebat.com – Leading UK Journalist Melanie Phillips Spells it Out “Islam In Europe”.

For the most part, Melanie has it spot on.

She talks of moderate Muslims having the ground cut out from under their feet, but with all due respect to Melanie for her fearless truth-telling she doesn’t see that where Islam is concerned, so called moderate Muslims are irrelevant.

If they feel ‘offended,’ you’re fired

Professor claims he was canned on mystery harassment charge.

A college professor in Georgia is whirling in confusion right now, reprimanded and apparently threatened with termination without any specific charges, hearings or evidence of wrongdoing – only the school administration’s allegation that he “offended” someone.

The troubles for Professor Thomas Thibeault of East Georgia College seem to have begun during an Aug. 5 faculty sexual harassment training seminar, when he questioned the assertion – as he understood it – being presented by Mary Smith, the school’s vice president for legal affairs, that the feelings of the offended constituted proof of offensive behavior.

“What provision is there in the sexual harassment policy to protect the accused against complaints which are malicious or … ridiculous?” Thibeault asked.

According to Thibeault’s description of the events, Smith replied, “There is no provision in the policy. I must emphasize that if the person feels offended then the incident must be reported to the college authorities.”

“So there is no protection against a false accusation?” Thibeault pressed.

“No,” Smith is said to have responded.

“Then the policy itself is flawed,” commented Thibeault.

Two days later, a police chief was waiting to escort Thibeault off campus.    The professor, under the circumstances, believed he was fired.

This is why I have such a white-hot hatred of political correctness.    People can be canned or arraigned or whatever on trumped up charges with no recourse to justice – simply because someone is offended. It is also why so much of government and officialdom is in such dhimmitude to Islam – Islam is always offended about something or other. I’ve heard them referred  sometimes jokingly as the ‘The People of Permanent Petulance’.

Sorry, got sidetracked there. The point is though is, if there are no solid rules laid down, how the heck was he to know he did something wrong or not???

This is just so moronic as to be beyond belief, almost. I say almost, because as we all know, this is the kind of so-called ‘thinking’ the liberal left indulge in all the time.

I say again – MORONS!!   Gahhh!   This kind of stuff really gets my dander up.

Obama Poised to Cede US Sovereignty

Vodpod videos no longer available.

On October 14, Lord Christopher Monckton, a noted climate change skeptic, gave a presentation at Bethel University in St. Paul, MN. In this 4 minute excerpt from his speech, he issues a dire warning to all Americans regarding the United Nations Climate Change Treaty, scheduled to be signed in Copenhagen in December 2009.Lord Monckton served as a policy adviser to Margaret Thatcher. He has repeatedly challenged Al Gore to a debate to which Gore has refused. Monckton sued to stop Gore’s film “An Inconvenient Truth” from being shown in British schools due to its inaccuracies. The judge found in-favor of Monckton, ordering 9 serious errors in the film to be corrected. Lord Monckton travels internationally in an attempt to educating the public about the myth of global warming.

We know why the global warming crowd has been pushing this whole screed on us.

It has been and is about global control.

You in the US are about to lose your country to tyranny, and it is at a point where I don’t think it’s possible to stop it – too many people are asleep to what is happening.  I’m often sad at seeing what is happening.

The very fact Obama was able to get into power is a pretty good indication of the spiritual condition of America.   Don’t get me wrong – this is not an anti America rant.   I love the American that was, and I have many good friends among you – mainly in the Bible belt, naturally.  Heh.

Indeed, it may be in God’s purpose that it not be stopped.   There has to be a point of God’s judgment, both in the US and in all western countries – we have all to a larger or smaller degree turned our backs on the Lord.

Ted Kennedy – Traitor

I’m sick and tired of seeing Kennedy The Pickled lionised in the press as a great man – even having to put up with it in our own media in Aust.

From an article at  Sweetness and Light comes some info you’re not likely to hear on the six o’clock news, anywhere.

Pretty strong proof Kennedy was not just a strong advocate for socialism in the US, but an outright traitor to his own country.

Quoting the letter:

TEXT OF KGB LETTER ON SENATOR TED KENNEDY
_________________________________________

Committee on State Security of the USSR
14.05. 1983 No. 1029 Ch/OV
Moscow

Regarding Senator Kennedy’s request to the General Secretary of the Communist Party Comrade Y.V. Andropov

Comrade Y.V. Andropov

On 9-10 May of this year, Senator Edward Kennedy’s close friend and trusted confidant J. Tunney was in Moscow. The senator charged Tunney to convey the following message, through confidential contacts, to the General Secretary of the Center Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Y. Andropov.

Senator Kennedy, like other rational people, is very troubled by the current state of Soviet-American relations. Events are developing such that this relationship coupled with the general state of global affairs will make the situation even more dangerous. The main reason for this is Reagan’s belligerence, and his firm commitment to deploy new American middle range nuclear weapons within Western Europe.

According to Kennedy, the current threat is due to the President’s refusal to engage any modification on his politics. He feels that his domestic standing has been strengthened because of the well publicized improvement of the economy: inflation has been greatly reduced, production levels are increasing as is overall business activity. For these reasons, interest rates will continue to decline. The White House has portrayed this in the media as the “success of Reaganomics.”

Naturally, not everything in the province of economics has gone according to Reagan’s plan. A few well known economists and members of financial circles, particularly from the north-eastern states, foresee certain hidden tendencies that many bring about a new economic crisis in the USA. This could bring about the fall of the presidential campaign of 1984, which would benefit the Democratic party. Nevertheless, there are no secure assurances this will indeed develop.

The only real threats to Reagan are problems of war and peace and Soviet-American relations. These issues, according to the senator, will without a doubt become the most important of the election campaign. The movement advocating a freeze on nuclear arsenals of both countries continues to gain strength in the United States. The movement is also willing to accept preparations, particularly from Kennedy, for its continued growth. In political and influential circles of the country, including within Congress, the resistence to growing military expenditures is gaining strength.

However, according to Kennedy, the opposition to Reagan is still very weak. Reagan’s adversaries are divided and the presentations they make are not fully effective. Meanwhile, Reagan has the capabilities to effectively counter any propaganda. In order to neutralize criticism that the talks between the USA and the USSR are non-constructive, Reagan will grandiose, but subjectively propagandistic. At the same time, Soviet officials who speak about disarmament will be quoted out of context, silenced or groundlessly and whimsically discounted. Although arguments and statements by officials of the USSR do appear in the press, it is important to note the majority of Americans do not read serious newspapers or periodicals.

Kennedy believes that, given the current state of affairs, and in the interest of peace, it would be prudent and timely to undertake the following steps to counter the militaristic politics of Reagan and his campaign to psychologically burden the American people. In this regard, he offers the following proposals to the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union Y.V. Andropov:

1. Kennedy asks Y.V. Andropov to consider inviting the senator to Moscow for a personal meeting in July of this year. The main purpose of the meeting, according to the senator, would be to arm Soviet officials with explanations regarding problems of nuclear disarmament so they may be better prepared and more convincing during appearances in the USA. He would also like to inform you that he has planned a trip through Western Europe, where he anticipates meeting England’s Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and French President Mitterand in which he will exchange similar ideas regarding the same issues. If his proposals would be accepted in principle, Kennedy would send his representative to Moscow to resolve questions regarding organizing such a visit.

Kennedy thinks the benefits of a meeting with Y.V.Andropov will be enhanced if he could also invite one of the well known Republican senators, for example, Mark Hatfield. Such a meeting will have a strong impact on American and political circles in the USA (In March of 1982, Hatfield and Kennedy proposed a project to freeze the nuclear arsenals of the USA and USSR and pblished a book on the theme as well.)

2. Kennedy believes that in order to influence Americans it would be important to organize in August-September of this year, televised interviews with Y.V. Andropov in the USA. A direct appeal by the General Secretary to the American people will, without a doubt, attact a great deal of attention and interest in the country. The senator is convinced this would receive the maximum resonance in so far as television is the most effective method of mass media and information.

If the proposal is recognized as worthy, then Kennedy and his friends will bring about suitable steps to have representatives of the largest television companies in the USA contact Y.V. Andropov for an invitation to Moscow for the interview. Specifically, the president of the board of directors of ABC, Elton Raul and television columnists Walter Cronkite or Barbara Walters could visit Moscow. The senator underlined the importance that this initiative should be seen as coming from the American side.

Furthermore, with the same purpose in mind, a series of televised interviews in the USA with lower level Soviet officials, particularly from the military would be organized. They would also have an opportunity to appeal directly to the American people about the peaceful intentions of the USSR, with their own arguments about maintaining a true balance of power between the USSR and the USA in military term. This issue is quickly being distorted by Reagan’s administration.

Kennedy asked to convey that this appeal to the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union is his effort to contribute a strong proposal that would root out the threat of nuclear war, and to improve Soviet-American relations, so that they define the safety of the world. Kennedy is very impressed with the activities of Y.V. Andropov and other Soviet leaders, who expressed their commitment to heal international affairs, and improve mutal understandings between peoples.

The senator underscored that he eagerly awaits a reply to his appeal, the answer to which may be delivered through Tunney.

Having conveyed Kennedy’s appeal to the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Tunney also explained that Senator Kennedy has in the last few years actively made appearances to reduce the threat of war. Because he formally refused to partake in the election campaign of 1984, his speeches would be taken without prejudice as they are not tied to any campaign promises. Tunney remarked that the senator wants to run for president in 1988. At that time, he will be 56 and his personal problems, which could hinder his standing, will be resolved (Kennedy has just completed a divorce and plans to remarry in the near future). Taken together, Kennedy does not discount that during the 1984 campaign, the Democratic Party may officially turn to him to lead the fight against the Republicans and elect their candidate president. This would explain why he is convinced that none of the candidates today have a real chance at defeating Reagan.

We await instructions.

If actively working with the enemy of your country is not being a traitor, then what is?

Don’t speak ill of the dead some might say.    I disagree.   Some of us conservatives have to keep the record straight while the left is trying to revise history.

“This isn’t my country anymore.” by Heidi.

Heidi has written an excellent article on the value of family and each individual on her ‘Pebblechaser’ blog.

An excerpt:

The point is this: It is not within my power to determine the quality or effect of the life of a person. The soul shines through regardless of length or our ridiculous notions of quality. God’s breath in each person as their days are meted out according to His schedule. Not mine. Never mine.

Life is precious. All of it, from the beginning to the end. It is a circle that must be seen. Must be protected. Must be insured. So we don’t forget where we come from and where we are headed.

Euthanasia is a frightful and dreadful concept that slaughters the weak. It is the evil twin of abortion and a perversion of compassion at such a degree it makes me ill. Both are concepts supported in large by the young, healthy and self-absorbed and ones by which our bloated, decrepit and vile society will be judged.

But that’s not the country I grew up believing in. That isn’t the society I was excited to bring my sons into not all that long ago.

I look at the political landscape, the talking heads, the frantic screams from both sides and I truly don’t know where we, as a country, are headed. But I know this.

It doesn’t feel like my country any more.

She writes so well and touchingly of the value of each person in a family, and I have no doubt that most of my readers will find themselves in complete agreement.

Each person’s life has intrinsic value, which makes what Obama and his administration are attempting to do so terribly, terribly evil.   I pray and hope they will not succeed.

And it’s happening here in Australia, too.  Not as fast, but all the signs are evident.   The dumbing down of our society, the rampant socialism in our education system, and oh! that great destroyer of our society – political correctness.    Australia is no longer the land I once knew, either.

Obama Slyly Maneuvers for Socialism

From an article at Newsmax

(Hat tip to Tim Birdnow at Birdblog for this lead.)

President Obama showed his hand this week when The New York Times wrote that he is considering converting the stock the government owns in our country’s banks from preferred stock, which it now holds, to common stock.

This seemingly insignificant change is momentous. It means that the federal government will control all of the major banks and financial institutions in the nation. It means socialism.

The Times dutifully dressed up the Obama plan as a way to avoid asking Congress for more money for failing banks. But the implications of the proposal are obvious to anyone who cares to look.

So, if Obama gets away with this, it will mean that at a stroke of the pen the USA will have become a socialist country – no longer a democracy or republic as your founders envisioned it.

I’ve been watching since Obama has become President and have been appalled at just swiftly the USA is heading towards becoming a tyranny.  It seems to me from reading around the blogs and the forums I visit that quite a few people are aware of whats happening but feel powerless to do anything about it.   But we should, by prayer and actions that speak from repentance towards God.   Most other actions done apart from that may be good from a purely human point of view but are still just a band aid without that spiritual dimension added.   I mean, the whole reason your country, and the UK, and us here in Australia (all in the same sinking boat) are in such trouble is because we turned away from God in the first place.  And to add to our judgement all our administrations are turning more and more against Israel, which is a sure road to full judgement from God.  We need to be active in whatever way we can that may delay God’s judgement against us all, and in the end only repentance can do that.

Google sweeping for anything anti-Obama

It’s been quite amusing to note that only one day after Barack Obama’s inaugeration, I’ve had trolls sweeping through here doing an obvious Google search for anything anti-Obama in any way.  Feeling your oats, boys and girls?  LOL.

What I found most amusing was the fact these new comments were on posts I did several months ago.   I would never have even noticed them apart from the fact that I have my comments on RSS.   I do wonder if they even noticed that in their eagerness to bring down this extreme rightwing religious nutjob – namely, me.   Oh heck, I’m cracking up here again.

These people simply will not tolarate (despite their self belief as liberals as being the most tolerant people on the planet) anything against their Lord and Master Supreme Leader and Messiah Obama.

Newsflash, guys, there is plenty of evidence against Obama – it’s just that you’re in extreme denial.  Like kids going “La la la, I don’t want to hear it!” with your hands over your ears.

Prediction:   Obama will destroy the economy in the USA in record time, but of course it will all be Bush’s fault.    As it happens, one of the few things Bush did right was to fight the terrorists.   In many ways he has been a trator to the American people, one of the biggest and worst being a globalist tool in his signing of the CAFTA and NAFTA deals – therefore destroying the USA’s sovereignty of their own country.

As one of these commentors pointed out quite correctly, I’m not without bias.    Of course I’m biased to what I believe is right – the conservative point of view, which tends to be more objective and rational.

Some of these latest comments have been deleted, as I consider them to be personal attacks, not just disagreement.   As I warn in my ‘house rules’, I will delete such with no apology.    “dre’ will find I’ve deleted some of his/hers and not others for that reason.   My ‘home’,  so what I say goes.   Just because you have strong feelings about what I’ve written it doesn’t give you entitlement to verbally dribble all over my blog, no matter how much you think it does.

From this point onwards, all of my posts older than 30 days will have comments automatically closed.
